TimberNook provides nature-based, child-led play experiences that challenge the senses and inspire creativity, independence, and imagination in the great outdoors. Our TimberNook program is located at the beautiful Collage Day School campus in the scenic woods of Northeast Florida. The landscape offers the perfect balance of shade and sunlight, creating an ideal setting for outdoor play. TimberNook outdoor programs are carefully crafted to provide the ultimate sensory experience, challenging the mind, body, and senses through meaningful play opportunities. These programs are designed to foster child-directed learning, encouraging children to think and play in new, creative ways while promoting therapeutic value and authentic outdoor experiences.

New Engaging Summer Programs!
*TimberNook Aftercare will be available from May 27th through July 25th, offering a fun and engaging environment for children after their regular program sessions. This aftercare service will be provided daily from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, allowing parents flexibility while ensuring that children continue to explore and play in a safe, structured setting. It’s a great opportunity for kids to extend their TimberNook experience with additional outdoor activities, creative projects, and social interaction. Please contact the TimberNook staff to schedule.

Extreme Art Week is here! Your child will team up with others to design and create grand-scale masterpieces from scratch. From giant murals to collaborative sculptures, they’ll explore creativity in the most exciting and hands-on ways. If your child loves art experiences woven into imaginative, child-led play, this is the perfect program for them! Let their creativity run wild at TimberNook!

Yeehaw! It’s Enchanted Week: Wild West Edition! Cowboys and outlaws will step back in time to the rugged frontier, building their own Wild West towns and creating adventures at every turn. From panning for gold, staging daring duels and exploring dusty trails, children will experience the thrill of life in the Old West. Saddle up for a rootin’-tootin’ TimberNook adventure.

Once upon a time… it’s Storybook Week, a classic favorite! This week, children will step into the magical world of timeless fairy tales like Cinderella, Caps for Sale, and Hansel and Gretel. From crafting sparkling slippers and mischievous caps to building gingerbread-inspired hideaways, children will have the chance to live and breathe these beloved stories. With imagination as their guide, they’ll create their own happily-ever-afters in the enchanting TimberNook forest!

This week we dive into woodland tinkering and larger-than-life games! Children will step into the forest to bring classic board games like Jumanji, Chutes and Ladders, and more to life. They’ll create their own game pieces, design interactive challenges, and explore the magic of outdoor play. From navigating giant game boards to crafting their own woodland activities, they’ll tinker their way through an unforgettable TimberNook adventure!

“Hey you guys!” Get ready for an epic week inspired by The Goonies! Children will embark on thrilling adventures as they search for hidden treasure, navigate mysterious maps, and uncover secrets of the TimberNook wilderness. From building hideouts to solving riddles and booby traps, they’ll work together just like the Goonies crew. Adventure, teamwork, and fun await in this unforgettable week of going wild!

Going undercover this week means stepping into the shadowy world of espionage! Creating their own spy headquarters and secret hideouts, children will be transported into the thrilling realm of secret agents. Mastering stealth skills, cracking codes, and uncovering hidden clues, they’ll be sure to complete their mission and rule the TimberNook spy network.

A week loaded with fun and all kinds of sensory challenging adventures in the woods. Mud, shaving cream, music, the children will get messy and get to experience classic games with a twist. Being in the woods challenges the body and the mind!

Children love to explore and discover. This week will pave the way for all kinds of sensory experiences, bug catching, getting messy, and water/ foam play. They will get to use many different materials that will take their play to the next level.
