STEAM

Available Dates: August 19th - December 6th, 2024

STEAM enrichment programs offer students a unique opportunity to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics beyond the standard curriculum. These programs are designed to spark curiosity and creativity by providing hands-on, interdisciplinary learning experiences. Through engaging projects, interactive workshops, and real-world problem-solving, STEAM enrichment helps students develop critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation skills. By integrating artistic and technical skills, these programs aim to foster a well-rounded educational experience that prepares students for future challenges and opportunities in a rapidly evolving world.

Bailey Olliff was born and raised in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. She has a love for learning and teaching new things every day. Bailey used to be a surf instructor for all different age groups, which sparked her interest in child care. In her free time, she enjoys arts and crafts, or basically anything outdoors. She is very excited to host a such wonderful enrichment program.

Guiding Girls

Available Dates: August 19th - December 6th, 2024

This specialized enrichment program aims to empower young girls by boosting their self-confidence and equipping them with the skills they need to thrive. The program offers a wide range of activities, including hands-on crafting and jewelry making, lessons in etiquette, and opportunities for community service. All of these activities take place in a supportive and secure environment that fosters social interaction and friendships with other girls.

Quiana Elliott was born in Newport News, VA, and raised in Jacksonville, FL. She attended different enrichments growing up such as an all-girls group throughout elementary and middle school called “Girls Inc.”, playing softball, being a secretary for her high school all-girls “Madame Prestige” program, playing for a marching band and creating bonds through the “Best Buddies” program at her high school. She discovered her passion for teaching at a young age and began her teaching career at just 15 years old. She has been at Collage since February 2022 and has had the privilege of working with children across various age groups, from infants to 6-year-olds and working towards her CDA. Her most recent professional endeavor has been with Primary Prep, where she finds joy in engaging with the students. In her leisure time, she enjoys activities such as cooking, crafting jewelry, reading, babysitting, and cherishing moments with her partner and her beloved dog.

Little Leaders Group

Available Dates: August 19th - December 6th, 2024

The Little Leaders Group is a supportive and nurturing space designed for preschool/kindergarten-aged children to enhance emotional regulation, social skills, and self-awareness. Through a variety of engaging and age-appropriate activities such as storytelling, interactive games, and creative expression, children learn to identify and manage their feelings, build positive relationships, and understand themselves better. The group focuses on creating a solid foundation for mental well-being by fostering a positive and empathetic environment, equipping young minds with essential tools for lifelong emotional health.

Book Club

Available Dates: August 19th - December 6th, 2024

Students will gain a new appreciation and love for books as they dive into the wonderful world of literacy with this program! Using the Sunshine State Books, students will learn how to analyze and convey their thoughts in academic discussions on what they read and will be able to participate in activities and crafts related to the themes of the books. This book club wants to approach literature from all angles to build confidence in comprehension and communication skills while making reading enjoyable to all. In order to maintain student reading levels, there will be two book clubs. One will be for 2nd and 3rd Grade students while the other one will include 4th and 5th Grade. Students will also have the opportunity to test on the Sunshine State Books as these scores contribute to the contest in elementary. Whether you have an avid bookworm or a child who hasn’t found the right book yet, this program encourages inclusivity and imagination as students explore clues and secrets authors scatter throughout pages of these books!

Club Creative

Available Dates: August 19th - December 6th, 2024

Program Mission:

Ms. Romero’s mission is to help every student find their inner artist and explore the wonder that is unhindered creativity.

 What To Expect:

Students will gain hands on experience by learning to utilize an abundance of different art techniques and mediums! Lessons will consist of a variety of both process and product driven art projects that correlate with a monthly motif. The culminations of Club Creative will be our creative convention at the end of the school year!

Brianna loves inspiring children through creative play, meaningful moments, and art. Her art style is a blend of fun, funky process art & crafty, fridge-worthy product art. Outside of work, Brianna enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dogs as well as attending concerts, camping at the springs, and traveling. She is active in her church and enjoys volunteering her time with a variety of events.

Dance

Available Dates: August 19th - December 6th, 2024

Sarah moved to St. Augustine in 2020 where she began working as a Behavioral Specialist with Mandala Family Wellness. She trained with Central Ballet Theatre in East Tennessee for ten years. Through her time training, she discovered a love for choreography, performance, and soon after, instructing. From 2015-2017, Sarah taught ballet and jazz to over fifty students at Trinity Arts Center in Johnson City, TN.  She has performed in twenty three ballet and musical theatre productions and choreographed pieces in five productions. She enjoys the musicality of dance and has performed in conjunction with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. Last year, she joined the Collage team as our Music Instructor for infants through 5th grade. As a dance instructor, Sarah shares this rich awareness of the interconnectedness of music and dance with students, using it as a means to encourage strong technique. Most importantly, she strives to create an uplifting atmosphere in which students are enriched by the art of dance and delight in it as an expression of life and beauty.

Animal Explorers

Available Dates: August 19th - December 6th, 2024

At Collage Day School , animal enrichment is a cornerstone of hands-on learning, integrating real-world biology and animal care into the curriculum. Through the school’s unique program, students engage directly with the principles of animal enrichment by designing and implementing interactive activities for resident animals. This hands-on approach allows students to learn about animal behavior, habitat needs, and the importance of mental and physical stimulation. By creating enriching environments and observing the effects on animals, students gain practical experience in environmental science, animal welfare, and problem-solving, while fostering empathy and a deeper understanding of the natural world.
